Copyright and Licensing Policy
This policy explains how copyright and licensing are handled for manuscripts published in IJLAR. Authors are requested to read this document carefully before submitting or accepting publication.
1. Ownership of Copyright
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, copyright in the article remains with the author(s), subject to the rights granted to IJLAR and the licence applied to the published work.
2. Grant of Rights to IJLAR
Upon acceptance for publication, authors grant IJLAR a non-exclusive licence to:
- Publish, reproduce and distribute the article in print and electronic formats.
- Index and archive the article in databases and repositories.
- Translate or format the article for indexing, archiving or accessibility purposes.
3. Author Reuse
Authors may generally reuse their work for non-commercial academic purposes, such as:
- Including the article in a thesis or dissertation.
- Using the content in classroom teaching or academic presentations.
- Depositing a permitted version in institutional or subject repositories, acknowledging IJLAR as the place of first publication.
4. Third-Party Material
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any third-party material (such as images, charts or extensive extracts) used in their manuscripts. Such permissions should cover online open-access publication where applicable.
5. Licensing Model
IJLAR may publish articles under a specified Creative Commons or similar licence. The chosen licence will be indicated on the article and may, for example, permit non-commercial reuse with attribution while restricting certain commercial or derivative uses.
6. Policy Amendments
IJLAR may revise this policy periodically. The version available on the journal website at the time of acceptance will ordinarily govern the rights associated with that article.
For specific questions about copyright, licensing or permissions, authors and readers may write to editor@ijlar.com.
