Open Access Policy
IJLAR follows an open-access model of publication. This means that readers may access published articles online without subscription fees, subject to the terms of the applicable license and this policy.
1. Reader Rights
Subject to licensing terms and proper attribution, readers are generally permitted to:
- Read, download and print articles for personal or academic use.
- Share links to articles and cite them in scholarly work.
- Use limited portions of the content, such as quotations, with appropriate citation.
2. Author Rights
Authors typically retain certain rights over their manuscripts, including the right to:
- Be acknowledged as the original creators of the work.
- Use their work in academic teaching, presentations and future research, subject to proper citation.
- Deposit a permitted version of the article in institutional repositories, where allowed by the licence.
Specific rights may vary depending on the copyright and licensing terms agreed at the time of acceptance.
3. Licensing
IJLAR generally publishes content under a Creative Commons style licence or an equivalent open-access licence, which sets out the permitted uses and any restrictions. The precise licence applicable to a particular article will be indicated on the article page or in the PDF.
4. Commercial Use and Derivative Works
Commercial use, large-scale distribution or the creation of derivative works may be subject to additional conditions or permissions depending on the licence selected for a particular article. Users are responsible for reviewing the licence and ensuring compliance.
5. No Charge for Access
Readers are not charged for online access to IJLAR articles. Any applicable Article Processing Charges (APCs) or publication fees, if introduced, will be clearly communicated to authors in advance and will not affect reader access.
